AOAC Safeguarding Statement

At AOAC, the safety and well-being of all our members are our top priorities. We are committed to creating and maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy our activities without fear of harm, abuse, or neglect.

Our Commitments:

  1. Awareness and Training: We ensure that all staff, volunteers, and members are aware of safeguarding issues and receive appropriate training to recognise and respond to concerns.
  2. Policies and Procedures: We have clear policies and procedures in place for safeguarding, which are regularly reviewed and updated. These are available to all members and are implemented consistently.
  3. Reporting Concerns: We have clear and accessible reporting mechanisms for any safeguarding concerns. All reports are taken seriously and acted upon promptly and appropriately.
  4. Promoting a Safe Environment: We work to create a culture of safety and respect within our club, where everyone feels valued and supported.
  5. Partnerships: We work with external organisations to ensure best practices in safeguarding and to provide additional support where needed.
