Touring Trip Paddling. This trip training is aimed at those who wish to improve the efficiency of their forward paddling and long boat handling skills in sea kayaks or short to long touring kayaks / open canoes. This trip is NOT suitable for kayaks under 3m ie any white water boat.Minimum ability - BCU 1 Star, solo open canoe paddlers must be equivalent to BCU 2 Star. Very scenic canal trip with great views of the Severn valley and the Cotswolds.Booking essential as boat hire and transport of long boats is limited. Please see joining instructions. We will meet at the club store at 9am, tea and cake at finish. Walkers Walk leader required, scenic flat walk along the canal and a return loop to visit the River Severn (if no walk leader available, the return will be via the canal). Nice day out finished off with tea and cake.
