Activity Type:
- Walking
Start date:
Details (public view):
A long walk (13.6 miles) in a quieter area of the National Park.
Starting at Llangynidr, we will climb steadily to the top of Tor y Foel, then join the route of the Brinore Tramroad following the contours towards the quarries at the head of Duffryn Crawnon and fabulous views down the valley. Then we strike out across the open moorland of Mynydd Llangynidr to historic Chartist's Cave before heading back to the village for a well earned pint and food in the Red Lion.

Dogs are welcome on the walk but must be under close control around livestock.
AOAC Grade D due to distance and some open off path moorland walking. The gradients are steady rather than steep.
