The North Pennines is one of England’s most special places – a stunning landscape of open heather moors, attractive dales, fast flowing rivers and magnificent views from the upland hills.
A haven for wildlife and birds. Red and black grouse, hen harriers and merlins among the many on the uplands.
The hills are also among the highest, outside of the Lake District, with several over 800m high.
This is a 3 night walking weekend.
An area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The North Pennines is also a UNESCO Global Geopark
The main activitiy will be high level walking, Moderate/strenuous to challenging.
