AOAC New Year Trip for 2023/2024 will be held in Blencathra, 2 ½ miles east of Keswick, in the heart of the Lake District. Walks and mountain bike rides are available from the centre and there are kayaking and indoor climbing opportunities very close by.

We will be staying at Blencathra Field Centre which is situated on the side of Blencathra Mountain with stunning views across to the Central Lakes, we have exclusive use of the main building and its facilities. The centre has large communal space for chillaxing and socialising, and the majority of the 30 bedrooms will have no more than 2 occupants, some with ensuite facilities. It is the same centre which was used in 2015/2016 and 2018/2019 for which good feedback was received - everyone was very happy with the trip, the accommodation and the location.
