A weekend stay at one of the most remote hostels in Wales.

The former YHA is now owned and run by an independant charitable trust.

This is hosteling as it used to be, a 17th century farmhouse in a beautiful remote valley in the Cambrian Mountains with no electricity and heating provided by a wood burning stove in the common room.

The filtered tap water supply is spring fed, the power for the led lighting and hot water for the two showers are supplied from solar panels.

There is a fully equipped kitchen but no fridge.

There is some lovely walking including visiting Drygarn Fawr one of mid Wales highest peaks at 645m.

It would also be a good base for road or mountain biking if suitable leaders are available.

Sorry dogs aren't allowed either in the hostel or camping

NOTE-currently no cycle leaders are booked on so any cycling would be as a personal ride and not covered by club insurance. I will update if the situation changes.
