Inspired by 'The Times'  best autumn walks article, this walk offers superb views as you walk the ridge of Cold Kitchen Hill over the Wiltshire Downs and the oak woods of the agricultural lowlands. A superb winter walk which takes in historic churches and Neolithic sites and the 'Deverill' villages. Brisk, energetic walking pace required. Approximately 15 miles; estimated 7 hours out (it took me 6 hours to complete the circuit with no stops, other than for navigation).
