Course Outline                                                                                                                                 ‘This course will provide the student with the key safety and rescue skills required to operate safely in a sheltered water environment and to be able to deal with common emergencies in multiple craft types. This is a training course with scenario based practical sessions towards the end of the day.’

‘This course is a pre-requisite for the British Canoeing Paddle Sport Instructor Course, and ideal for all involved with paddle sport, both bank and boat-based coaches or parents who regularly supervise/oversee sessions in any discipline.’ (Canoe Sport Coaching website)

Participants will need to hold the BCU 2 Star award or be of equivalent ability due to the paddling environment and the boat control required to complete the course.
