Ride is approx. 25km; warm up on Bike Path, with one long stiff climb from Bitton up to North Stoke and the Bath Golf Club and Racecourse. Some technical skills practice in the Woods (‘bomb holes’), then across the valley contouring with some limited gentle climbing to a lovely drop into Bath (Newbridge) and then back to Warmly on the Bike Path. This is around 50/50 tarmac/off road and will give opportunity for foundation students to add distance as well as practice off road skills on a typical local cross country route.
More experienced riders can join me in a loop down into the Langridge Valley; this entails a steep road climb out so is not for all!
Depending on ‘engines’ I’d expect this to take up to 3 hrs. I can shorten it if necessary (via the Cheese Factory & café), but not flatten it! I can try and share a .gpx file to those signing up/interested (no promises as deep in too much unanticipated Club admin already!)
Snacks, drinks and kit list as stated in the Foundation event required, also bring a rear light if you have one as there is a little bit of road – I’ll have one – useful for others if you already have one.
