FIRST WEEK FULL, PLACES ON SECOND WEEK ONLY  (from Saturday to Saturday).

Please email the organiser with the week(s) you wish to join and a place will be made available for you to purchase.  Do not book any flights until you have had the availability confirmed for your place.   All arrivals and departures from Rhodes.

We will start and finish in Rhodes going around the Dodecanse islands, a diverse group of 12 main islands and numerous small islets nestled along the Turkish coast in the south-eastern Aegean.  The liveliness of Rhodes, where once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World straddled the entrance to the harbour, will soon be left behind by sailing away to enjoy the peaceful, unspoilt and diverse outer islands.  It is with these smaller islands that you'll enjoy their sandy beaches, warm waters, rich history, enchanting character, traditional tavernas, Venetian architecture, Byzantine churches and medieval castles. You'll find traditional fishing ports and quiet waterfront restaurants.  The swimming and snorkeling is superb in many locations.   The winds are likely to be gentle in the mornings rising moderate or fresh in the afternoons, conditions which are handled perfectly by this Beneteau 57 (58 ft sloop).  No previous sailing experience needed but this is the chance to learn to and/or improve helming, navigating, sail trimming, skippering as well as plenty of opportunities for swimming, snorkeling, yoga, jogging ashore and generally helping to run a world girdling 58 foot yacht.

We will be with Pete on his 58 ft sloop which we caught up with in the Balearics and Ionian Sea last year following two weekends out of Dartmouth and you are invited to be his guest for a contribution of £433 per week (total of £863 for the trip, deposit £433 payable now to secure your place) which will go towards your breakfasts; lunches with local wine; fuel; mooring and marina fees; customs charges and safety equipment together with any associated expenses.  In addition you will buy your own flights and transfer to/from the boat and holiday insurance (specific requirements will be advised shortly).  All you need are clean, non-marking soles for use on the boat and the agility to scramble on and off a dinghy to go ashore.  The yachet is equipped with all safety equipment that complies or exceeds the mandatory recommended requirements for vessels sailing throughout the Mediterranean and offshore, including ocean crossing; however, it is not operated as a commercial vessel (please contact the organiser if you require further information).

The yacht is stunningly designed and fitted with every conceivable luxury, she has a vast deck area and a breathtaking interior, including a large saloon and 4 en-suite cabins (sleeping 8).  We will be using the three double cabins (7 people on the trip) so it is important that you are either flexible or that when you book you ‘buddy’ up with someone you want to share a cabin/double bed with; however, there is a cabin with bunk beds and saloon space along with an extra sofa in the largest double cabin which offers more flexibility.  There are 3 showers and 4 heads on board.  This is a very comfortable boat and a beautiful area for sailing.  Everyone on board is encouraged to help with sailing and expected to give a hand elsewhere (there is NOT a host/ess included).

Cost per Person/Deposit:
