The British Canoeing Discover Award is the replacement for BC 1 Star.  This course will allow you to develop your decision making and practical skills for a fun and safe time on the water.  You can decide whether you complete this in a kayak or a canoe.

We will look at clothing and equipment required and understand how the environment affects your paddling.  Practical skills include how to stay in control and move your craft in the required direction and basic safety and rescue.

This award will allow you to progress to the British Canoeing Explore Award - Kayak or Canoe.
