Planning Canoeing - River Exe, Estuary and Exeter Canal (Exeter Quay to Canal)

When - best time of year :

● April to September - choose date when tide will be going out for river section!

● Normally a day trip.

How to get there:

● Meet at the club store off Muller Road, Eastville  8.30 am, load and leave by 9.00. Travel time about

1 hour 30 minutes.

● Exeter Quay, Exeter. Large of pay and display car parks.

Canoeing Information:

Type of Canoeing:  Easy river trip with return on canal (Turf Lock or take short cut at end of river to canal).

Grade: 1, (weirs, tides and can be windy)                   Access: UK Rivers Forum

Minimum Level of competence: 1 Star or equivalent experience.

Kit List: Inland touring + packed lunch and water. Facilities: Public toilets, pubs, tea shops.
