Snowsports for Skiers and Boarders
One of the most popular events on the AOAC calendar, the annual AOAC ski/snowboard trip is a great opportunity to ski/board with people of similar levels, to meet people and make new friends. New members are welcome, and for many, the snowsports trip has been such a great introduction to the club that they have gone on to be AOAC regulars!
Each year a group of around 30 of us embark on a skiing/snowboarding trip to the Alps. Recently, we’ve been to France, Austria and Italy: the places we choose are varied, but we ensure that resorts are high and snowsure; offer a large skiing area, a wide range of terrain, and are generally suitable for all levels of skier/boarder from advanced off-piste to beginners.
Accommodation is in good quality hotels or chalets, half board (breakfast and dinner with drinks included with the evening meal); and rooms are twin share ensuite. We aim to be as close to lifts and pistes as possible, so no long bus rides, and often ski in / ski out. We always aim for resorts with good après ski too, and a good selection of local restaurants for lunch or an evening meal out!
While most people on the trips tend to be advanced or intermediate, and we do advise beginners to get lessons, this is a great opportunity for skiers and boarders of all levels to be able to enjoy a holiday together.

Just some of the benefits of joining the AOAC Snowsports trip:
- Group booking enables us to take advantage of group discounts, meaning a lower cost holiday in a top resort than you’d find elsewhere
- Prices are inclusive of flights, transfers, half board accommodation and full area lift pass for the whole ski area. Plus, we usually get discounts on ski/board carriage and ski/board hire too!
- We choose high, snowsure resorts with a large skiing area and wide range of terrain so you won’t get bored!
- Suitable for all levels from beginner to expert skier/snowboarder – so you should find someone your level to ski/board with
- Good quality, well-located accommodation; normally only two sharing an ensuite room; close to pistes and lifts
- Half board with breakfast and dinner, normally drinks included with the evening meal
- Group size means you’ll always find others to enjoy time off the slopes with too, whether for après ski, live music venues in the resort, sampling local cuisine in a traditional restaurant or just chilling in the hotel bar!
- A great way to meet new people and make new friends – and find out about other activities the club has to offer!
