POSTPONED - Wells, Ebbor Gorge and Wookey Hole walk

Activity Type:

  • Walking

Start date:

07/11/2020

Details (public view):

7.5 miles (12km) undulating walk with several steep climbs and a few areas of muddy track.

Leaving from Wookey Hole (free parking & toilets) we walk north up the Ebbor Gorge, then east across an area of high ground on an old drovers track with excellent views of the Somerset Levels (weather dependent). We then drop south and into Wells for a café stop. After a coffee stop we have around 40 minutes of walking to take us back to the start point.

Bring a lunch/snack which we will have at some point prior to visiting Wells where we can take a short look at the cathedral and smallest city in England. Good walking boots and waterproofs are essential for this walk, and a reasonable level of fitness for the short, but steep climb through the gorge. (Grade B/2 Boots)

Please refer to Covid-19 SOP & Risk Assessment on the club landing page. I will update those on the trip of any matters prior to the event.

Cost per Person/Deposit:

£0.25
